CHRISTMAS TREE COLLECTION
Christmas Trees will be collected curbside between January 2, 2025 through February 14, 2025.
Trees should be placed curbside. Trees must be removed from their stand along with all ornaments, lights, and other decorations.
Trees can also be dropped off at the Public Works Facility located at 620 Cutler Avenue, Maple Shade, NJ.
Public Works hours are operation are as follows:
Monday through Friday: 6:30AM – 2:30PM
Saturday: 9:00AM – 1:00PM
Please Note: Artificial Christmas Trees can be disposed of by placing it out with your trash on your regularly scheduled trash collection day.
LEAF COLLECTION UPDATE
The 2024 Fall Curbside Leaf Collection has been completed.
At this time, all leaves must be BAGGED and brought directly to the Public Works Facility located at 620 Cutler Avenue, Maple Shade, NJ.
Public Works hours are operation are as follows:

Trash Collection Helpful Information
Friendly Trash Reminders
- Trash should be placed curbside no earlier than 6PM the day before collection & no later than 6:30AM the day of collection.
- Trash should be placed in a metal, rubber or plastic watertight container not exceeding 34 gallons’ capacity.
- Use of disposable polyethylene or paper bags designed for garbage or rubbish may be used, but bags MUST be sealed/closed at the top.
- Any wood/lumber should be tied securely in a bundle not exceeding 3-feet in length and not weigh more than 40 lbs. All nails and screws MUST be removed!
- Mattresses MUST be wrapped in plastic or placed in a plastic mattress bag.
- Mattress bags are available at local hardware stores, home improvement stores like Home Depot and Lowes, and online at Amazon.
- NO METAL of any kind will be collected. Metal MUST be removed from any furniture.
- Remove drawers from furniture and place separately at curbside.
- House clean-outs, garage clean-outs or large construction project debris will NOT be collected.

Grass Clippings Helpful Information
- Place grass clippings in heavy-duty, lawn bags. ONLY fill bags halfway to alleviate them being too heavy for the trash hauler to pick-up.
- Do NOT place loose grass clippings at the curb. Grass clippings are NOT collected by Public Works.
- Do NOT exceed (4) lawn trash bags per weekly trash collection.
- Do NOT place grass clippings in the blue, recycling cart.

- Brush, Tree Branches, Shrubs & Bagged Leaves (no loose leaves or bagged grass clippings)

- Tires - residents are limited to 4 tires per visit.
- Appliances (doors removed from refrigerators)
- Old Paint/Antifreeze - paint should be dried before disposing.
- Thinners/Solvents/Gasoline
- Waste Oil (No 50-Gallon Drums)
- Electronics (TV’s, Computers Printers)

NO Loose Grass Clippings
(Grass Clippings are to be put out for Regular Trash Pick-up) - NO Bulk Trash
- NO Construction Material of Any Kind
- NO Concrete/Cinder Blocks or Bricks
- NO Removal of debris from replacement/repair of fencing (stockade, privacy, etc.). It is the responsibility of contractor/homeowner to make arrangments for disposal.
- *The Township can take chain link fencing.*
ONLY Residential Debris will be Accepted
Residents are required to obtain a dumpster for large in-home construction projects
and all basement, garage, or full-house (moving/relocating) clean-outs.

- Contractors And Landscapers Are Prohibited From Dumping Debris At The Maple Shade Township Public Works Garage On Cutler Avenue.
- Dumping When Facility Is Closed Is Prohibited.
- Dumping At Route 73 Leaf Site Is Prohibited.
- Violators Will Be Prosecuted.
